One More Tear Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller VERSE 1 Just when I thought I was over you Just when I thought I'd moved on Just when I thought my life was new And the past was long gone That's when I found myself cryin' And I didn't know why Looks like the past keeps creepin' back in And I can't let it die CHORUS 'Cause there's always one more tear There's always one more tear Every time I think it's gone, it keeps comin' on There's always one more tear VERSE 2 I remember all of the good times I can't get 'em outta my head Wish I could remember the bad times Baby instead That might make it easier To put you away But here I am Cryin' today CHORUS BRIDGE Always one more tear to cry Always one more tear up in my eye VERSE 3 Maybe one day I'll be over you Maybe one day I'll move on Maybe one day I'll be through And the past'll be long gone And I'll be done cryin' And I'll look to the sky I'll feel a drop of rain And I'll understand why CHORUS

That Thing We Do Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller VERSE 1 (DAVE + CARLY) I was always the last kid picked Sat on the bench all alone Watched all the other kids havin' fun While I sat there, kickin' a stone Never had a date on a Friday night With someone who cared Never made the party scene You could say it sure wasn't fair Never had a Valentine On Valentine's Day Never had a sweetheart With sweet things to say And I never had a lover Who could love me from the heart Never knew where to find one Never even knew where to start PRE-CHORUS I didn't have a clue 'Til I found you And you pulled me through CHORUS (With) that thing we do Just me and you You know it's true It's just that thing we do VERSE 2 Now if someone had told me I'd find a love like this I'd have told them they were lyin' That kinda thing just don't exist But you made me a believer And it only took one night You proved me wrong baby You feel so right PRE-CHORUS CHORUS VERSE 3 There's somethin' special 'bout the way we roll That I don't understand There's music in the way we work Maybe it's part of some master plan All I know is you're the one for me And I'm the one for you Your lovin' sets me free It's just that thing, it's just that thing… PRE-CHORUS CHORUS OUTRO SOLO

You Get What You Give Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller CHORUS You get what you give The love that you live That's all that there is You get what you give VERSE 1 You keep talking, 'bout giving back But you put it off 'til tomorrow All the time, there are folks in need Havin' to beg, steal or borrow CHORUS VERSE 2 You say you ain't got nothing to give But a smile don't cost a dime The goodness you earn, just watch it return Comes back around, every time BRIDGE CHORUS/BREAKDOWN CHORUS/OUTRO

The Evil That Men Do Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller VERSE 1 I say this land is haunted Like a house up on a hill Look through its broken windows Feel the bitter chill All the years have come and gone There is no mercy still I know you feel it too The evil that men do VERSE 2 From the bodies in the rivers To the bodies in the trees To the bodies on the pavement Being crushed beneath the knees How can a country say it's free And live with this disease? I know you feel it too The evil that men do VERSE 3 Liberty and justice Are just words upon a page Until they reach each one of us This land will burn with rage Maybe it's a symptom Of this sad and selfish age I know you feel it too The evil that men do VERSE 4 To those of you who laugh it off To those who feel annoyed Someday when death comes callin' And you stare into the void The ghosts will all surround you And you'll recall George Floyd I know you feel it too The evil that men do VERSE 5 Some say that there's a heaven And I hope to God it's true With gates that swing wide open And not just for the few But no one's gonna save us It's up to me and you I know you feel it too The evil that men do SOLO VERSE 1 REPEATED

Scratchin' At Your Door Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller VERSE 1 Something's scratchin' at the door Wants to come in Wants a little more Of that sweet sweet sin Somethin' won't be still 'Til you speak its name You can feel the chill You can feel the shame It always wants a little more Something's scratchin' at your door VERSE 2 It keeps yankin' that chain Round and round And it won't give up 'Til it drags you down You can pretend That you just don't hear But it can smell All your pain and fear It always wants a little more Something's scratchin' at your door CHORUS You think maybe just this once You can let it in But it's never quite that simple It starts all over again Something's scratchin' at your door VERSE 3 So you batten that door With everything you got You can feel the pressure build You can feel it gettin' hot And your throat goes dry Like a desert in a drought And you know your time Is runnin' out It always wants a little more Something's scratchin' at your door CHORUS SOLO CHORUS OUTRO VOCALS OUTRO SOLO

Your Kind Of Fool Words and Music by Dave Keller VERSE 1 I know the kind of lovers you like The kind that'll bend to your will The kind that'll give you everything Keep givin' 'til you get your fill So go ahead and ask me I'll give you every coin and jewel 'Cause baby I'm your kind of fool VERSE 2 I've seen you with all of those others The way that they call your name That peculiar mix of need and fear Their eyes betray their shame While you stand there high and mighty And still you look so cool 'Cause baby I'm your kind of fool BRIDGE Some fools are plain and simple Some are crazy mad All I know is this fool right here Sure has got it bad SOLO VERSE 3 So take me, and use me Do with me as you please A spoonful of your poison Will cure me of my disease Your eyes just like a shadow I'm drowning in their pool 'Cause baby I'm your kind of fool

CHORUS VERSE 2 The table is waiting It's time for us to take our place All manner of goodness and sweetness And beautiful grace But it ain't easy to forgive Even harder to forget But if we want to truly live We've got to leap without a net SOLO CHORUS – BREAKDOWN CHORUS

The Spark 04:49
The Spark Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller VERSE 1 There's a fire that I've seen Right behind your eyes A kind of desperation in the flame Like you're tryin' to live Before you've got to die Tryin' to bring some honor to your name But you don't know how And you don't know why It's so damn hard to face another day But you won't give up No you can't give up I wanna reach out and say CHORUS That fire you feel It may flicker You may wander in the dark The hands of time move quicker But don't forget, please don't forget You are the spark VERSE 2 There are seas of sadness That swallow us whole Hills and valleys block our way Caves of loneliness Beyond our control Roads with tolls too high to pay But when the sun Is sinking And you find yourself alone I know What you're thinking It's time to find your way home
9.
Make It To Tomorrow Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller VERSE 1 I don't recognize this place How did we end up here? Oh I miss your beautiful face I miss all your cheer Everywhere I turn Things look mighty strange Still that fire burns We just got to rearrange PRE-CHORUS Mmm I know we can make it CHORUS Make it to tomorrow Make it through the sorrow To a place in time We'll feel good and fine Make it to tomorrow VERSE 2 I just got to ask It's been on my mind Is that you behind that mask Your eyes look so kind I can tell you're frightened By the way you hold yourself You're wonderin' when this might end Nobody can tell PRE-CHORUS CHORUS BRIDGE Sometimes I dream We're in a small cafe And you are smiling back at me I reach to take your hand And it all falls away We keep on falling endlessly VERSE 3 Some sweet day When this loneliness has gone Oh, I pray Pray that we'll be strong Strong enough to hold each other With our battered hands Strong enough to heal this world I know you understand PRE-CHORUS CHORUS

Land Of The Lonely Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller INTRO SOLO VERSE 1 I live on a street, with one streetlight Ain't much to see, any old night Just the darkness and the fog and the houses Of people like me VERSE 2 If you live long enough, there are things that you hear All the couples who fight, all the families in fear In the darkness and the fog and the houses Of people like me CHORUS If it weren't so sad it'd be funny You'd think you could solve it with money But you'd be wrong, it's an old song Livin' in the land of the lonely VERSE 3 Each house on the street's just like a book If you knew the truth, you'd be too scared to look In the darkness and the fog and the houses Of people like me VERSE 4 I sit it in my chair, I drink from my glass The memories flare, all the ghosts from my past In the darkness and the fog and the houses Of people like me CHORUS SOLO VERSE 1 REPEAT I live on a street, with one streetlight Ain't much to see, any old night Just the darkness and the fog and the houses Of people like me Just the darkness and the fog and the houses Of people like me

The Kiss I Want Lyrics and Music by Dave Keller VERSE 1 That's the kiss I want The one I've been waiting for The one I've been dreaming 'bout That knocks me right on the floor The kiss that just blows my mind Just tears me up Like the finest wine It just fills my cup That's the kiss that I want That's the kiss that I want VERSE 2 That's the kiss I need That I missed for so long That made me cry When I heard our song The kiss I thought That I almost lost I'd search the world Pay any cost That's the kiss that I want That's the kiss that I want BRIDGE Oh kisses, they may come and they may go They may start off fast, and slip away slow But the kiss that lasts, is worth everything That's the kiss that makes me sing SOLO VERSE 3 That's the kiss I miss And I need it so I can't resist And I won't let go 'Cause it's you I feel Inside my heart And that kiss is where This feeling starts That's the kiss that I want (4X)

I'm Gonna Let It Shine words by Toussaint St. Negritude music by Dave Keller I stand on the banks of tomorrow and my soul looks vast and wonders how in the world any other vision could ever be so fine. I stand on the banks of tomorrow and my soul looks vast and wonders to which flowing glory shall I rise divine I stand on the banks of tomorrow and my soul looks vast and wonders my feet may be bound by the shores of a current denial but with this little light of mine I can fly like a bird in the sky. I can fly like a bird in the sky. I stand on the banks of tomorrow wondering how in the world any other vision could ever be so fine.

This album means an awful lot to me. At first, I just thought it would be a fun way to make music with my friends, and do some good during a time of great sadness and stress in the world. I had no idea that it would blossom into something so beautiful.

What you are about to listen to is the result of many, many people giving. Musicians giving their time and talents. Engineers and studio owners sharing their spaces and expertise. Artists, photographers, publicists, all pitching in. And a wonderful assortment of people from around the world, who gladly contributed money to help cover production costs beyond what we could get donated. And you too, by purchasing this album, are giving.

All of us working together to foster racial justice and equity. That’s what it’s going to take to create deep and lasting change. Thank you for being part of this.

And thank you for giving these songs your ears, your attention, and, I hope, your heart. Yes, we musicians dream of fame and fortune. But we care most about reaching hearts. So please accept this gift, from our hearts to yours, and pass it on in whatever form you can. The love that you live – that’s all that there is.
